FP Arquitectura completes a 26,095 square metre educational facility in Colombia.
Architects Iván Forgioni, José Puentes, and Juan José López of FP Arquitectura have completed the Colegio de La Salle in Bogotá, Colombia. The 2025 project spans 26,095 square metres and was built by Constructora Marval. The design team, including Daniel Vergara and Mariana Vélez, utilised void spaces, landscape, and circulation as the primary instruments for the educational environment. Rather than creating a structure that merely contains students, the architecture is intended to amplify the learning landscape. The physical layout prioritises how movement and open areas function within the school setting. Photographed by Sitio Estudio, the facility features materials from Ladrillera Santa Fe. The project serves as an expanded learning landscape where the physical void is as significant as the built rooms, creating a functional interplay between the natural surroundings and the school's internal circulation routes.
Designers can see how circulation and empty space serve as active functional tools rather than just secondary passageways. The project demonstrates how large-scale institutional architecture can integrate natural landscapes to define the user experience.
