The LED lighting system features dual arms and magnetic mounts for flashes.
Godox has released the MA2 Flexible Macro Twin Light, a $79 hot-shoe lighting solution featuring two independent LED heads on flexible arms. The unit offers adjustable color temperatures from 2800 to 6500 K and power levels from 1 to 100 percent. While the LEDs serve as primary light for video or modeling lamps for stills, photographers can magnetically mount Godox flashes, such as the iM20, iM22, iT20, and iT22, directly to the arms. Each arm supports a maximum load of 90 grams. The system delivers a TLCI of 97 and a CRI of 96 for color accuracy. The built-in rechargeable battery provides 3.3 hours of runtime at full output. Designed for insects, product details, and textures, the MA2 includes a magnetic diffuser and integrates with Godox wireless lighting setups to provide fill or primary illumination.
Macro photographers can use this system to preview lighting setups with LEDs before firing magnetically attached flashes. The independent dual-arm control allows for precise manipulation of shadows and textures on small-scale subjects.
