The redesign introduces a shared visual system and AI identity across QuickBooks, TurboTax, and Mailchimp.
Intuit has partnered with branding agency JKR to transform its identity from a collection of individual products into a connected financial platform. Founded by Scott Cook in the 1980s, the company grew to include TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp. The new "One Intuit" architecture addresses the disconnect between these recognized products and the parent company. The overhaul features a redesigned wordmark, a new Intuit "i" symbol, and a custom typeface named Tally. It also introduces Intuit Intelligence, a new identity combining AI capabilities with human expertise. This system establishes a shared visual and verbal framework involving evolved color palettes, photography, and motion design. By creating a systematic visual architecture, the update links the ecosystem without stripping away the existing equity of the individual brands. The design focuses on building user trust through clarity as AI technology is integrated into software interactions.
Designers must solve the challenge of building parent brand recognition without erasing the established value of individual product identities. This project demonstrates how a cohesive visual system can integrate emerging AI features while maintaining user trust through transparent architecture.
