Twelve shortlisted Irish makers showcase their work ahead of the €60,000 ceremony at the RDS.
A major showcase of Irish making has arrived in Dublin with the opening of the 2026 RDS Craft Awards Exhibition at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks. Presented in partnership with the National Museum of Ireland, the exhibition highlights the work of twelve shortlisted Irish makers competing for a share of the €60,000 RDS Craft Awards prize fund.
The public exhibition opened on 1 October 2026 and will run through April 2027 at Collins Barracks, offering visitors free admission to view contemporary craft and visual arts from across the country. The initiative celebrates high-level craftsmanship, culture, and creative practice in Ireland.
The shortlisted makers are contending for major awards that will be unveiled later this season. The winners are scheduled to be officially announced during the 2026 RDS Craft Awards ceremony, set to take place at the RDS venue in Dublin on 19 November 2026.
With €60,000 at stake and free public exhibition space at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, the awards offer vital visibility and financial support for Irish makers and visual artists.
