A temporary tattoo studio featuring prominent artists opens inside the Rembrandt House Museum.
The Rembrandt House Museum in Amsterdam has launched a temporary tattoo studio on site. The creative initiative brings tattoo artists Rupa van Teylingen, Henk Schiffmacher, Tycho Veldhoen, and Timothy John Englisch directly into Museum Rembrandthuis. Pairing historic setting with the craft of ink, the project draws connections to master painter Rembrandt van Rijn and works such as Descent from the Cross, documented in photography by Mark Bolk courtesy of Schiffmacher and Veldhoen.
The residency highlights a unique intersection of classical museum curation and contemporary tattoo artistry within one of Amsterdam's most celebrated cultural institutions.
