Grava House is a 565-square-metre residence located in Pilar, Argentina, situated on a lot overlooking a golf course. Lead architect Andrés Remy and the remyarchitects design team developed the project using a sequence of volumes and split levels. These structural variations define the exterior expression and organize the internal spatial experience. The design focuses on the balance between openness and privacy through specific pathways and changes in height. Natural light and the surrounding landscape serve as the primary organizing elements for domestic life within the home. Interior design was managed by Myoo Interior Architecture, while Liwa construcciones handled the general construction. The technical team included Julieta Rafel and Hernan Pardillos. Completed in 2024, the residence uses its site-specific orientation to maintain constant visual connections to the outdoor scenery while shielding private areas from public view.
Designers can study how split-level volumes create natural zoning without relying on heavy internal walls. The project demonstrates a method for balancing expansive landscape views with the privacy requirements of a residential lot.
