Nigerian photographer @dominicfilms earned the $8,000 Grand Prize and the title “TECNO Photography Master” for the image Weightless Voyager. Gold prizes were awarded across four traditional categories. Nigerian photographer @shotbykene won in portraiture, while Filipino photographer @mlpadecio took top honors for cultural imagery. In the low-light category, @amazinghaywhyclicks from Nigeria secured first place. Indonesian photographer @30secondtothemoon won the snapshot category for capturing fast-moving subjects. A fifth category focused on AI-generated images. Tecno Imaging Expert Zhang Liankai stated the contest aims to provide imaging technology that gives users the freedom to bring creative ideas to life through mobile hardware.
The prize pool demonstrates the growing commercial value and professional recognition of mobile-first photography. Creative professionals can see how specialized categories like low-light and action snapshots are being prioritized by hardware manufacturers.
