Designed by L/O (Katata Yoshishito Design), the 30-square-metre retail interior serves as a hub for one-off pieces, semi-custom orders, and fully custom knives. The space moves away from standard retail comparisons to focus on the technical culture of Japanese blade-making. Beyond sales, the gallery facilitates professional resharpening and repairs, emphasizing the lifecycle of tools intended for decades of use. This facility allows makers to engage directly with the stories behind individual blade construction. By separating individual commissions from the standard product range, the 2026 project provides a specific site for craft professionals to select and maintain blades that grow alongside their specific technical needs and handling preferences.
